C-49 Defective out of the box.
If you received a defective McIntosh product out of the box would you demand a replacement. Should the dealer hesitate to replace the product. I will have to make some decisions Monday when everyone is back from the Holiday.

Curious what you mean by defective. I would want a new unit if yours is truly defective. My experience with McIntosh is that it is rare that you get a new unit with issues. I have never had an issue with my units. I first bought McIntosh in the 80's.

Thanks everyone.
Going to shoot an email out early Monday requesting a replacement. I requested the equipment be unboxed and checked out before I drove a hundred miles to picked it up. I was told as the new owner I would have to unbox and check the equipment out. I will have to say they offered to have a rep that lives between me and the dealer bring the equipment to my home but I thought that would add to the delivery time as every one was trying to leave for the Thanksgiving Holiday .
