so it looks like I will be able to sell my old SFs and get the new olympia IIIs

have people had good experience buying from BB? I plan to keep my Denon and try to see if I can drive them with a multi channel amp. After reading on here, McIntosh and the Krell seem like a pretty good match?

Sure you can drive them with your Denon. I used a Marantz with my Q3 while deciding on which amp to buy. But you will probably not go back to the receiver once you've heard them with proper amplification. I'd guess you will experience a much drier bass, a less digital top. Better start and stop of the elements and great PRAT. If you choose McIntosh or Krell is just a matter of taste. IMO speakers are on the warm side and so is the McIntosh. So you will end up with a full bodied, rich presentation. Krell on the other hand will add attack, speed and a less analog feel to the mix. Good luck with your audio adventures.

Had a good experience but it is center dependent and salesperson dependent.

My guy is awesome. Where are you located?

Not sure if it really makes a difference (I couldn't hear one), but my dealer recommended connecting to the top on my Amatis. What does make a difference for sure is replacing the supplied jumpers.
