The Wave preamp/DAC
How does it compare to 300B and others? It has balanced inputs and outputs (unlike 300B), has a remote (unlike Reference) so it sounds pretty tempting to me used. Any impressions?

I regret that I have never heard it. I use the 300B preamp and will never part with it. There are some rumors of there coming a new Manley DAC/preamp in 2014 :-)

No you are sure not the only one..
If Manley would have created a Big Reference preamplifier with Steelhead and NeoClassic 300B in one (ofcourse with separate PS) I would be on the list and prepaid already. I like my Steelhead and 300B very much, but Evanna should bring out the new WAVE/TURBOT Pre/DAC in two choices, either as dedicated full blown phono OR the full blown DAC version. Further I see no big market for this DAC version.. Although it may sound Very good, and sure trust that I'm SACD fanboy, and always had one box players, will never change that. Keep It Simple. So i'm no potential for the WAVE/TURBOT preamp/DAC i'm sorry. Great looking though !! |
