The Kordz cable is a budget cable. You could do much better than a Radio Parts product line.

For a projector setup, I would be inclined to pull a bundle of high quality CAT 6a solid core & use a pair of CAT6 to HDMI converters. They are improving all the time & you will future proof yourself. The latest can process a 1080P uncompressed. You could either krone the termination to a keystone for patching or terminate directly to RJ45. The latter is more difficult but preferred. That way your converters can plug straight into each end of the run & your two short HDMI cables will plug from these into your devices.
Steve... I have so much to learn!

Any luck with your MX121 source input for the Oppo? Curious about your dilemma now.

I upscale all sources except from the MVP891. I let it do all of the work.

I can't seem to find an option for video pass-thru on the MX121? There is an option to turn VIDEO CONVERT on or off, but not sure this is the same thing?

No... That's not it. Do I turn the I/P SCALER off?

No... That didn't fix it! Should I be choosing 1080p24... Or just 1080p?

I made a very minor change to my projector with initial screening looking better. I want to watch more before saying the problem is gone. Too late now so I'll watch a movie tomorrow night.

You have a video convert option in your source menu for the input used for Oppo on the MX121. Set to off. That will also disable the IP scaler.

That will enable you to set the video for that source to pass-thru. The Oppo will then do all of the work without the MX121 re-processing anything.

You should also check to see if anything has changed on the Oppo. You may wish to check the progressive mode settings on it & the projector.

Once you are operating in this mode & the problem still exists, it is fairly likely that the Kordz is the issue.

Interesting information for longer HDMI runs. Thank you!
May I ask you for a recommendation on converters, make and type ect ?

Trevor... Your fix is easy, simply take the MX121 out of the video loop entirely. You would want to use an external scaler as I previously mentioned, let it handle all video switching and duties from your sources.

On my MX150 if I let it handle video, the image is noticeably degraded.
