This Thursday Jeff from AccuCal will be here to calibrate the Sony.

Cheers,
Having a High-End Video Projector professionally calibrated is always a great thrill. You have to own one, and done it to know what I mean.

I agree with both of you that when you buy some of this high end equipment you want to get all of it's performance whether it is on the video or audio side.

Had Jeff Meier over last night from AccuCal to calibrate my new Sony projector. It was fun to watch him do his magic with the video. He measured 17 Ft. Lamberts of light with the low bulb setting and amazing 24 Ft. Lamberts in the high mode on a 150" screen. This projector is a light cannon! Since THX recommends 14 Ft Lamberts he left it in the low setting. This will also help extend my bulb life and create less heat so it will be easier on my projector.

Jeff sees a lot of different projectors in his line of work and he simply loves what this Sony can do from a video source. He commented on how uniform the color was through out the screen and how Sony seems to nail so many things well with this projector.

I was happy with the end result and recommend getting a pro in to tweek one's system to get the most for what you bought.

Cheers,

Nice! That's a lot of light for a 150" screen. Enjoy!

John

Jeff is one of the best. If Jeff likes the Sony, it must be really, really good!

Jim - I have the MC601's installed and they are awesome.

Tom,

Jeff does not say nice things unless he really likes something. He was enamored with the Sony, and said he would like to take it home to his theater... He seemed to be constantly praising the Sony while he admired the picture that it was presenting.

Congrats on the MC601's! I am glad to hear that you are pleased with them. Let's see some photos!

Cheers,
