Default Accuphase E-408

Does anyone have experience with this integrated?

Any comments/feedback would be appreciated. I'm contemplating matching it with my ProAcs and replacing the Peachtree.

.. Dan, is that you being subtle? I have pics, but I've not been able to find any feedback or reviews online. Not that I imagine I will find anything negative. I'm very confident this could last me a very very long time.

Thanks for the info BTW..

I don't, but that would be quite a nice upgrade from any peachtree! I love the look of Accuphase, and of course it all sounds awesome. Good luck!

Rock.......I could not find any reviews of the Accuphase E-408 but was able to discover from conversations about it in other forums that it was a model from 2003/2004.

You'll want to make sure the E-408 you are interested in is factory set to the proper voltage that you will be using. You don't want a 100 volt model if you plan to use it with 120 volts in North America.

Thanks Dan,

I'll be sure to ask about that. The amp is in Toronto, so I'm assuming it should have 120. But I will double check.

They are asking $3800. Seems like a fair price.

You might want to ask the Accuphase importer if it is a unit they will work on. If gray-market, they will not touch it or provide any parts or info for repairs if something should go wrong. If the 'real deal', that is a great piece of gear.

Definitely don't assume a North American import. Quite a few are converted 100V units. The manual should be in English, box stamped in red U120V and back black label stating 120V.

It should be an outstanding integrated amplifier.

Axiss will check serial numbers for you. Ivan might be able to help in that regards as a dealer.
