I bet the Accuphase is an excellent match!

I had my eyes on B&W, but I really wanted the 801D, which was discontinued before I had the money for some serious speakers. So, I went with the JBL S4700s because of the 15" woofers and the price was much lower than a pair of B&W 802Ds not to mention the 800Ds!
From February 10th 2015 (new pricelist) prices in EUR (and CHF) have been reduced by about 10%.

Thanks! I already have the JBLs though, and probably will for some time...

Default KEF 205/2 update

Since the KEF 205/2 were already broken in by the dealer, the speakers are working out very well indeed.

I like the accuracy when the critical ears are worn, and the downside is that recordings that have faults, really show them up. Especially the Eagles 192/24 downloads from HDtracks, drums are like paper bags, well another story there.

I can see Anna Netrebko standing in my living room, the sound stage is that high, just wonderful. The sound must be good, for the cat has never pointed her head towards speakers, but Beethoven's 9th was of keen interest

Accuphase & KEF Reference can be added to the list of pairings.

Cool, sounds good. I probably should have checked those older KEFs out at CES, but it just wasn't on my mind at the time. I was more into B&W, ATC, Tannoy, Focal, and yes, JBL.

Hi. Let's say for my newly acquired E560, with a meagre 30 wpc, does this statement still hold? Speaker is German Physiks Carbon IV. Some is telling me no problem, it is Class A. Another camp says 30 watts is 30 watts, how to move the 12 inch woofers? I am actually quite happy with current performance in a moderate size room, 7m by 3m. But will move to a bigger place with listening area of 10m by 5m. Lastly, I don't ususally see the VU meters pushing pass 3/4. At what point do I start sweating?

Class A Accuphase can provide a lot of current, when you get to the limit you will hear the lows reducing.

I am driving Magico V3's with my E-600, not an easy load, but no problem for the E-600
