Default Instinctive shooting at it's best!
Point shooting — also known as target or threat-focused shooting, instinctive aiming, instinctive firing, and instinctive shooting — is a method of shooting a firearm quickly and accurately that does not rely on the use of the sights in close quarters, life-threatening situations where there is the greatest chance being killed. Close-quarters fighting makes it difficult to apply proper marksmanship techniques, which is why point shooting advocates a less sighting-based style of shooting.

Meet Vitaly Kryuchin. I have never seen anyone quite this good.

Serge.......Impressive shooting. I think I'll spend some time with this technique next time I'm at the range. Accurately shooting with both left and right hands is no easy feat, let alone simultaneously. Amazing.

Dan, I used to practice this technique when I was more active with the sport and visited the range more frequently. I found it was no easy task to stay consistent and that certain handguns just fit your hand better are better balanced and point much more intuitively making it much easier. Many Glock models are certainly well designed and balanced so they point more naturally but that is all individual preference and of course burning through ammo with constant practice is the key to becoming more proficient. Back in the day when I used to reload, it was easy and relatively cheap to make up 500 rounds in a few hours and burn through them the next day.

I've gone over the comments section and Vitaly Kryuchin admits that instinctive shooting is not nearly as consistent nor is he as fast with that technique as he is with aiming but the whole point of instinctive shooting is close quarter defensive shooting where there is no time to aim. For self defense purposes, this is one area that most people simply do not have enough training in but should.
