I had a nice chat with the importer of Martin Logan for the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
Born in France, but having lived in the Netherlands, he spoke Dutch with no accent.
He told me there were already quite some Neoliths sold in his area.

This room had almost everything of the second room (the one with the Summit X).
When we played Ella & Louis again, we noticed it was all a bit 'flatter', but the system could still reveal the details of the old but oh so good recording.
A couple of other pieces were played, and I thought it was a good system for the 40K it costs.

This room sounded surprisingly nice, its total price must be less than half that of the room with the Montis.
It offered clearly more than 50% of the sound of the latter, but we all knwo the law of diminishing returns...

AR makes beautiful gear:

So does T+A!

Bart and Meta.......Fabulous thread. Thank you so much.

If I were to embrace Martin Logan speakers, it would have to be the Neolith's. I feel confident my McIntosh MC2301 tube power amps could do them justice.

In between, I had a nice chat with Brandon Lauer.
He told me he's happy being part of a larger group now.
AR is now part of WOM (World of McIntosh), which offers more possibilities for such a small company (not more than a couple of dozen workers in the factory - they produce almost everything themselves!) to show itself to the world.

And I met this most friendly person: Stefan, also living in Belgium, but originally from Romania.

He's an AA member too, and when he saw Meta taking pictures with such dedication, he stepped towards her and said: "You must be Meta!"
He had spotted her in Brussels already taking pics, and he made the connection.
He is building up a nice system with Harbeth 40.1s and VTL mono blocks.
Aka Spirit Crusher!
Stefan, very nice to have met you!

If you didn't come only for Martin Logan and Audio Research, you could have some private listening sessions:

Plenty of choice!

You have seen in earlier threads what a wealth of wonderful gear Sammy has in his stores.
Always the newest gear next to older equipment.
And lovely, witty artifacts everywhere.

Older audiophiles but also fresh breed!
