Vince Gill & The Time Jumpers at our local theater tonight. Fantastic musicians all, an excellent show of Western swing with a little country and blues mixed in.

Makana, Hawaiian slack-key guitar with a modern twist. Makana is a fantastic guitarist and singer, for this show accompanied by an excellent bass player and percussionist. He performed a mix of traditional Hawaiian music intermingled with a few modern classics, all with great drive and rhythm. He's also a very personable performer, stopping to interact with the audience and tell amusing stories.
The show was at Kahilu Theater, a small venue in Waimea on the big island of Hawaii. A very enjoyable evening. If you're not familiar with Makana, check him out on YouTube.
