I have been looking for some time for a component that would give a crossover (preferably while the signal is still digital), tone controls, and enough ParEQ to smooth the low frequencies in my basement room. Having used a TacT 2.2X for many years, I tried the DEQX PreMate, which I found it complex to operate. The deal killer, though, was a noisy relay with dropouts when sample rate changed.
The ONLY product I could find in my price range that did most or all of what I want is the CP-800. It would be lovely if audiophiles had more than one choice for such functionality at a semi-reasonable price. And congratulations on the Bryston DAC. I heard an all-Bryston system driving Aerial 7T about a year ago, and the sound was gorgeous: natural, rounded, and full, with plenty of image and soundstage. |

Thanks again Mike.
Yes, CP-800 gives much for The money. Lasse
