Default Wilson Alexia and room size

My listening room is about 18' x 15'.

I have a pair of Sophia 3's.

Considering moving up the ladder. Wonder if Alexias are too big for this room and may cause bass overload. I get decent bass from the Sophia and it's overwhelming.

I would appreciate it if any Alexia owners (or those who've heard them in smaller rooms) can comment.

You want a large room where you can pull them as far away from any wall as possible.

How tall are your ceilings?

Your room is not that small and bass can be managed. You'll get more and better bass from Alexia but the benefit is in the mids and highs and their integration. I'm sure Joe would love to discuss this with you. He could probably use a little business. Up the ladder you go. Enjoy.

My room is 14 x 17 and Alexia's works great... 8 foot ceilings.

Remember the Alexia's are very tunable more so than the Sasha's due to the separate driver cabinets. You should be fine.

It will be interesting to see how they measure in JA's listening room.

Just received the Dec edition of TAS. Very nice review of the Alexias by AHC.

I did get the paper copy yesterday. I get the digital version of the Stereophile - which, by the way, is also reviewing the Alexias in Dec.

I can see Tony Joe White on the cover.

His last album Hoodoo is a killer, I had the chance to see him in Paris the three last years, fabulous always.

On my Alexias, it's really fabulous, I recommend it .
