Nope. Wants nothing to do with it, but she does love the turntable setup. We have had fun listening to some older music that I did not have on CD. Found some great out of print items that reminded her of when we first met. Put me down for some of your solution. I have used a little less than half of the AI. At the rate I am buying vinyl, I might need some sooner than originally thought.

Then I do the same three step that you are doing from audio intelligence, three separate brushes, etc. on new vinyl, as well as older vinyl that is still near mint condition. Serge, unlike you, I am using the VPI 16.5, that usually burns out and quits after two to three albums when doing the 3 step. Having a product that allows me to clean more albums from having fewer steps, but still a great performer would be great! This is particularly interesting and noteworthy since I have bought and cleaned over 150 albums in the past 6 weeks.
JD...how long do you have to wait for the VPI 16.5 to cool down before you can get back to cleaning records after it "burns out?" I wonder if I should go up one notch in the line to the 17F if the motor in that is more durable and allows you to clean more than 2-3 records at a time? Also, how long does it take to clean an album with the AIS 3-step process you and Serge are using? It sounds like Jeff's new solution might just be the trick Thx

FWIW; I have a 16.5 and use a multi-process to clean vinyl & have gone on several weekend record scrubbing sessions -- upwards of 100 albums per day (200 sides) with no strain nor heat build up on the 16.5.

Sure, there are times, when I'm organizing and stepping away from the machine when it is off for upwards of 15 minutes or more. I'm quite surprised the vacuum & turntable toggle switchs haven't given me any problems -- as constantly flipping them up & down during these sessions.

You're welcomed Cyril.

Not to hijack the thread -- treat any RCM with care and don't leave it running for any extended periods of time and it will last for quite some time. If I disliked mine, I'd sell it and buy something better; but, it suits my needs to a tee.

I don't run a record thru the RCM everytime -- when I pull out a record and it looks like it needs cleaning, I'll put it in my "to clean" rack & grab another to listen to. It's a PITA to set up the RCM for one (or several) record(s).
