Question resolved !!!
The Tidal option isn't available actually.
In the next weeks there will be a sofware upgrade that will offer that option.

Yes...I have been told it's close to release. All of my Naim streamers now stream tidal within the Naim app. I expect the Rossini to function similarly....it's really nice to easily access my ripped/downloaded files and Tidal easily. How do you like the Rossini....what did you have before

I'm listening Dcs for the first time.
The Rossini Dac is a very nice product. Very versatile.
Currently i'm playing with a Tad DA1000 streaming from an Aurender N100.
That Dac has obviously more sinergy with my Tad C600 than the Rossini.
The Rossini sounds more open, doesn't control like the Tad, but it doesn't sounds analitic like the reviews says.
The scene is wider and louder but i'm not happy with the voltage control.
I think this output option is the guilty of that light lack of control.
If i put the 6v mode i have to put the pre at 58 to sound at the same level with the Tad at 61 pre volume.
On the 2v the sound is a disaster.
On simple music like pop, camera, jazz it sounds airy and melodic but with big orchestral music it sounds a bit messy.
Always compared with the Tad. Anyway it sounds wonderful.
On the DXD upsampling mode seems to sound better than DSD.
But as i'm running it with the clock i'm not sure of the stock bnc cables effect.
I'm on waiting list to listen an Esoteric Grandioso D1. First without clock. But that option will force me to buy an Aurender W20 to play on dual AES.
We'll see.
PD: V1.02 software is already available.

Nacho,

Hmm. How long has the Rossini been plugged in and turned on? Is it brand new? If a demo unit and already broken in, I'll still give it a full 48 hours to warm up right. Yes it takes that long.

Also the BNC clock cables have a BIG effect. I can't listen to stock anymore. Sounds cold and closed in...

Speakers: Rockport Altair 2
Preamp: Robert Koda K10
Amp: Nagra Classic Amp
Cables: Transparent Opus Gen 5 & Magnum Opus phono
Power Transparent Opus Power Cord (amp & pre)
Power Shunyata Triton v2/Typhon/DPC-6 v2, Anaconda Zitron cords (x4), Sigma HC & Analog (x4)
Digital dCS Vivaldi full stack w/ Transparent Reference XL Digital cables
Phono: Grand Prix Monaco TT, Spiral Groove Centroid, Jan Allaerts MC2 Finish, Nagra VPS/VFS/MPS
Racks: Grand Prix Audio Silverstone F1 (x3)

Which BNC clock cables are you using?

Thanks

Transparent Reference XL. I've tried Cardas Lightning 15, Purist Proteus Provectus Praesto and now the Transparents.

All of these are better than stock. I imagine the new Cardas Clear digital cables might be a "best buy." The differences are very noticeable.

The Transparent XL vs Cardas Lightning is like having the clock on or off. It's that big. I'd say the same with Cardas vs stock BNCs

Well worth investing here in my opinion...

That is really surprising that the clock signal cables would have that dramatic of an effect. Do any of these cables have different ohm ratings?

Thanks for the insight...

I don't think so...they all claim 75 ohm. The Transparent Ref XL is pretty thick and says it has a pretty large conductor and a dialetric that is very constant over the length and how it's terminated says to help too.

Here's a review on the Transparent:

We did some detailed measurements on several clock cables, checking impedance and looking for reflection effects.

Very few of the bnc cables which were all specified as 75 ohms were actually 75 ohms.

Several high end cables from very respected makers were definitely not 75 ohms. One very expensive European cable measured 91 ohms!

In the clock application, accurate impedance matching is the most important performance parameter.

Certainly the cables that measured 75 ohms seemed to sound best although "expectation bias" can't be ruled out.

My recommendation on clock cables! Probably to make my own using the very well made BNC connectors from Furutech.
