EVO 707 may never do 4K

Talked to Krell and while finishing up the 4k upgrade on there new line, they are looking into the evo line but feel it may be too costly due to the older platform. I love when something is future proof, until it isn't. Krell did say that even know i am still 1.3 ( I have no desire for 3d so I never purchased the upgraded card to get to 1.4) i should still be OK and not need to go to 1.4........ sorry if this is a double post

I also have the Krell 707, but mine is the 3D version. Gosh i hope they do upgrade, but I wonder if the standard "connections" for 4K are even set yet. I suspect that in a few years, I will have to use the two OPPO outs (on a future machine) one that will send a 4K blu Ray signal to my projector and one that will just send the sound to the Krell.

I just don't think that 4K is ready just yet.

I'm doing fine without the 4k pass through for now but when 4k blu ray players start coming out they will have to have 2 hdmi outputs. I wish the 707 had a hdmi return audio.
