Default New Clearaudio Concept Turntable...looks interesting

Just came upon a new tt offering from Clearaudio called the Concept. Not sure where it sits in their lineup and hence pricing but it got a Hifi Sound and Vision Product of the Year Award:

It is a beautiful simple design...

Probably a great performer.

I'm guessing that it is at the lower end of their line up.

Please let us know if anyone finds pricing info.

Looks like it is an entry level tt, comes with factory setting up all parameters (cartridge, bias weightings, tracking force and anti-skate). Comes with a high quality MM cart but doesn't say which. Meant to be a plug-and-play entry level audiophile turntable. Pricing is £1,050. Interesting concept. Build quality looks very nice.

Hi All,

The new Concept is replacing the Emotion line........The emotion will be phased out slowly.

The Concept features:

Concept with Magnify tonearm $1400

Aluminum radiused high mass plinth with compact footprint
2 piece Delrin 30mm thick platter
Polished tempered steel bearing shaft within sintered bronze bushings (not CMB)

Mirror polished teflon thrust pad
Belt-driven by a decoupled DC motor incorporating an extremely low noise bearing
33, 45 and 78 rpm at a turn of a dial
Magnify tonearm features a friction-free magnetic bearing, allowing factory mounting and alignment of the phono cartridge.

The Emotion CMB package is discontinued and only a few remain in stock. If there is enough demand, we can get Clearaudio to make more Emotions. There is a new Emotion SE (targeted at @$2,000 with Satisfy Carbon Fiber) with thicker platter/CMB and plinth to be intro'd at CES.

The Concept is expected to land at the distributor Dec 10th and will have a simular TT/Cart. package like the Emotion
