All PCM and red book material I use filter 4, 5 or 6 with DXD upsampling,
For DSD, dsd filter 1 and upsampling to 2xDSD For MQA material I use the specific M1 filter with DXD upsampling Biggest gain for me is the 6V output setting, this ads dynamics and resolution to my system. (might have to do with the Aavik U-300 input)

On my Vivaldi I previously used DXD for everything save for MQA. Lately I have been going with 2 X DSD and that has worked nicely. At some point I will probably go back to DXD just to see if I like the change again.

Has anyone experimented with the different MAP settings? I have mine set to number one. - Buck

No map here.
I have owned a Puccini and tried a Rossini and a VivaldiOne, but having played all of my life as an amateur musician, I like the "upfront" sound of Esoteric. However, most listeners like DCS or MSB better as they not as "bright" or "digital." FWIW... |

Be open minded on the external clock, timing wise the rossini itself is as good, in my system the soundstage with clock became a bit wider but also about a meter closer to the listening seat, I prefer the rossini running solo, but as always, it might be different in your system

The improvement with the clock is not subtle. It’s a bit like getting a new DAC. A nice upgrade when you get the itch without having to take any depreciation.
