Serge, thanks for the suggestions.
Ivan, you are ready to set up the TTs that you sell. You know why ? You have been the first person to identify quickly the problem : acoustic feedback.
Tonight I reinstalled the Talismann : same problem !
So I tapped very slightly on the floor, to discover that both the arm and the boomers were bouncing. I removed one ball from the Gingko platform to make the suspension less stiff and BINGO ! no more bouncing ! And it sounds great. Well, it sounds like digital but better !
You were right Serge when you told me a few months ago to remove a ball.
So Jeff, I'm not saying that the 103 is a good cart for my arm but I will try again this cart now, Thursday.
I love Analog but damn how complicated and touchy this thing can be !
One more reason for me to love the simplicity of the P9 !

Thank you Philippe !
I always arrive " after the fight". First the REF PHONO 2 SE and now the P10 !
No regrets for the P10 because I prefer the classic look of the P9 anyway.

Jerome.....it still does not change the fact that the resonance freq. is too high and most would not pair a low compliant cartridge with a lowish mass arm......if for some reason it plays through and you enjoy it then that's fine......what usually happens is you will run across LPs that play fine and some that do not. The closer you get all things correct the better the playback is......A good analagy is put the correct tires on a car and it will perform at its fullest potential, put the wrong tires on and you get what you get, some are happy with the latter and some not. Happy Listening

Yes, I understand this very well Jeff. But since I have 2 TTs, I will still have the choice to put a bad sounding record with the Clearaudio / 103 on the P9 / Exact.
I 'm still thinking of selling the Clearaudio because the Rega is more suited to my tastes for 99% of the records. It is simply more musical to me. A question of taste. Some prefer the Clearaudio's sound and I'm fine with that. Still the 103 SP sounds so good that I can't wait to test it again on the Satisfy with the "new" Gingko platform.

You are not fair, Jérôme, it's not Ivan who was the first talking about acoustical feedback, it was me, during ur listening session...LOL.

Happy that you have come to the good solution.

And now you have to let me visit again to listen in good conditions to your system.

True JM ! I forgot. I was meaning here at AA.
No way for you to come back and tell me again "there is no bass" ! The P9 and the digital files had no feedback problem
Just kidding. You can come back anytime to listen to my beautiful mids, harsh treble and no bass system !
