Will do.
This piece is perfect for me- a wide variety of loads in both MM & MC pickups are possible. Most high end phono stages these days are strictly for MC pickups. Some tube varieties are available that are switchable, like ARC, but I like SS for vinyl playback. Other brands that are SS and switchable between MM & MC pickups are extremely expensive in my opinion. The EAR 324 is a great value, in my opinion. I'll use DNM RCA's with Eichmann Bullet Plugs for the out on the box. My MA6500 only has provisions for RCA's- no XLR's.
Delivery will be in 2-3 weeks.
Did you already order one too Serge?

For me the separate stand alone phono stage will yield a sonic improvement over the one in my MA6500 plus all of the additional features for MM & MC.
Do you think that the phono stage in the C1000C +P is comparable or no comparison, meaning that the 324 is better by a reasonable margin?

I think you know what I think. It's not fair to compare a phono stage that is built into a preamp with a full fledged dedicated phono stage built by a man who has tremendous experience with building such things.

I was hoping that you would say that. That's what I think too. Great minds think alike.

Don't worry, I've never been disappointed with any of the stuff I bought after exhaustive research. I put some inquires out there to people who really know what they are talking about... We both will love it.

Tim de Paravicini makes some interesting product. He is also a bird of a different feather. I was listening to him while we waited for an elevator at RMAF last year then in a couple of rooms.

I'm thinking of taking the 324 to my Linn dealer and doing a A/B against that $30k Boulder phono stage- the results may be surprising.

What happens if the Boulder is better?

Well, it would be an interesting experiment for sure but I don't doubt the Boulder's performance. For that price they had all kinds of room for perfection.
