If you've got the MDA1000 in the bedroom then I would try it. I bet it would sound good.

I just saw that effective 2/9/10, Directv will be replacing XM programming with "SonicTap" programming which is supposed to be similar to that of XM.

Yep....Great for background music a waste for a digital in!! All the MDA1000 exposes how much compression that DirecTV is using. Some channels sound good other channels "shudder"!! I even had the Polk XM-Radio installed same results. When McIntosh offered XM on the new tuner I knew they weren't going to improve the sound.
