OK, Ivan, you made me smile.

Those speakers look like Disney's audiophile re-incarnation of Wall-E as a speaker.

The SF and B&W both sound excellent and both look very finely made.

Ivan - those win the ugliest speaker of the century award. YUCK!

Come to think of it....you know, the Sonus Faber Anniversario might just be the unsung hero in the entire Sonus Faber lineup over the past 10 years....that's another great option....I would look seriously at trying to find a used pair of those (the Graphite is stunning).

I prefer any of these Ivan....

Mike, the Anniversario are going to be discontinued, so I would suggest the Futuras.

Oh be quiet. You suck!

I thought I only saw those speakers in a dream....Are they real?

The only SF speaker I was never a fan of the looks was "The Sonus Faber". It looked too much like a bad experiment gone wrong.

I'm curious about the direction SF is taking. They seem to be moving forward and away from the classic Franco Serblin sound and discontinuing his projects....Am I wrong?

Mike

It doesn't exactly look Frankensteinian to me. It looks pretty good in walnut.

B&W 802D is a tremendous speakers. One of the best in the world in my opinion. However, I don't think we can fairly compare B&W with Sonus Faber since the principle goad of the resulting sound are different between the two. B&W is very accurate but Sonus Faber is more musical. So if you mostly listen to Rock or Pop, then B&W may be a better choice than SF. On the other hand if you like Easy listening, Soft rock, Vocal, Instrumental, and of course Classical. Then SF will give you the most pleasure.
Just my personal opinion.
