Actually, I got smacked by a inattentive driver who ran a red light and smacked the black Ram right at the front bumper. He was traveling an estimated 40 mph so he managed to remove the entire front end of my truck. When my frame rails met the firewall of his vehicle, I was knocked about 45 degrees off of my direction of travel and, yes, right into a street light pole.

Maybe that was it. I would have missed that pole if it hadn't jumped out into the roadway.

Correct. This happened last year and, fingers crossed, the big red one is doing fine!

I've hit deer at lower speeds in big Ram trucks before and never had this kind of damage. The blacktail in this area are kinda puny compared to their big mule cousins over on the east side of the state.

Yeah, no serious images beyond a bump and a bruise or two.

All is well with the red one!

Michael,
That first photo is tough to view. Ouch, that's just sad.

The Ram 2500 looks great! Love the color. How are you liking the diesel? After owning all sorts of trucks with various engines over the years I've found the massive torque diesel to be extremely addicting and most fun to drive. It will be hard to go back to a gasser now.
