Venere 3.0
Hello. I'm new to this forum and wanted to share my growing experience with the Venere 3.0's I just bought. I was very impressed with them when I auditioned them at the dealer ( Music Lovers in Berkeley, California ) I was not expecting to hear so much I've never heard before. I have had a pair of Harbeth Compact 7's for about 5 yrs. and enjoyed them ( I'm offering them for sale ) I just hooked up the Venere's today and am enjoying them. I haven't gotten around to listening to some of my 24/96 files or other material I'm familiar with as yet. So far quite impressive for the money.

Hi avta!
I used to own Venere 2.5 for almost a year. Had lot of fun with them. For the first time in my life I realized what "soundstage" or "imaging" ment. I started to listen to diferrent types of music thanks to them - classics, jazz, folk rock etc. No contemporary pop or 80s anymore (thanks god). As I see Venere 2.5: superb dynamics and imaging, good resolution, little bit colored tweeter (but nice to listen). Overall, a very balanced speaker. And the design is top notch. One thing I couldnt really enjoy were rock bands like Guns n roses, AC DC etc. I think I missed some distortion and color. On cheaper gears they soundwd more engaging. Now waiting for Olympicas, and I think Rock bands will sound even more lifeless. But it doesnt really matter to me. Overall, for the money I would buy Venere again... V |

I spent quite a bit of time listening to the 2.5's as well as the 3's. In my view there was quite a difference in sound stage, resolution and most other aspects of listening. I would agree with your assessment. I opted for the 3's essentially due to these differences.
