Default Cremona Auditor Question

Hello all,

I posted a few months back about how much in love I was with my Cremonas (not M).

I've noticed recently that when I listen to certain tracks and maybe even female vocals in general, the tweeter seems to get a little, 'loose'.

Any idea what may be causing this?

Amp: Audio Research VSI 60, Meridian DAC.

Hello all,

Found the answer - I have a digital system with a Squeezebox Touch and a Meridian DAC. I was over-driving the input on the DAC.

I too have a question about the Cremona Auditor, but the M. Does anybody know if the new Olympica stand fits on the Auditor M's?

I am a new here and not sure how to post a new thread.

I have Cremona Auditors M and a Rel G2 sub. My equipment is Naim Nac 252/Nap 300. My room is around 50 square meters. When I listen to jazz, the sound is great but when I want to listen to electronic music (Air, Daft Punk, Syd Matters, Yello, etc), I find that the sound is not dynamic enough (the Auditors seem too "polite").

I am thinking about changing my Auditors for a better speaker, that would give me more dynamics while keeping the SF sound...I just want more "bite". My budget is 10 000 euros. What woudl you suggest? Is there a good speaker I can buy for that money and that I could use with my REL G2 sub? Or shoudl I get rid of the sub and go for an even better SF speaker? It is important that the speaker works well with my Naim NAP 300!

Thanks in advance,

Louis

I have had the same problem. Changed "fixed output" to "80% output" by settings and volume button.

If you would consider used, a Wilson audio Watt Puppy 6/7/8 would give you that. Properly integrated with sub they can do what you want very well on that kind of music

You can pick up a used pair of SF Elipsa's or the SF Guarneri Memmento within your budget. I have both of these speakers and have had the Cremona before these. Both of the above are a definite upgrade sound wise.
