Congratulations on the speakers and amp. Regarding your disbelief, it will quickly pass and you will begin contemplating your next upgrade.

Congrats on the 802d3s! You should view this purchase as an "investment" to bring you years and years of joy of listening to music I had a pair of 805 Matrix for 20+ years before upgrading to the 802d3 - pure delight, worth every dime

Please let me know how it goes. I love mine. One thing is now my system is pretty detailed and I'm becoming snobby about what music I listen to. No more crappy recordings. Currently I have a Lumin D2 streamer and the best sounds so far are coming from DSD downloads I've purchased. Not sure if the DSD part or that they were really well recorded.

Good luck !

Thanks MintakaX, Hear you on the selective piece regarding music (Recordings) the poor masterings are very apparent. It is interesting as I have noticed on the Redbook CD standard that you can get some remarkable recordings as well as very bad. Same is true for 24/96 great and not so great. I have been looking at the MA Recordings, super variety of music. DSD seems also to be the best so far as well.

The best DSD downloads I have purchased so far are the 5.65 Mhz Classical selections from bluecoastmusic. They are expensive, but for $100/year you receive 1 free album download (any resolution) + 30% off of all purchases.
The selection is limited but the quality is superb !

I’m a 452 owner now. Was contemplating a 601/611 upgrade but A: Don’t have the rack space for monoblocks to spare now and B: no issues with lack of power/performance from current 452. Was then thinking 462 upgrade might make more sense. If you’ve upgraded 452 -> 462, please comment with impressions and thoughts on value of the upgrade...

Hi Mille162, I did not have room for 611’s, although I hear stunning reviews. Can say that 462 is a sapphire/emerald gem and enjoy listening every night. The mid-range is the most noticeable positive change in my system as well as the 462 has a broader soundstage, (have not adjusted speaker placement).
