Prestige series
I am really looking forward to listening to the new prestige series coming out. I have always had a small place in my heart for Paradigm.

Informative and interesting and worth a further look. But there was nothing about the construction and quality of the drivers and crossover. Kind of like looking at a new car body design without knowing anything about the construction and quality of the engine and transmission. That is where the rubber usually meets the road.

Looks like they've come out with a bunch more technicalish info... Looks like this will be the end of the studio series ie not running in parallel like they had suggested.
Reasonably efficient, aluminium drivers used throughout, nicer looking finished. They appear to have rethought the driver surrounds to allow about an extra 3db efficiency. I'll be really dissapointed to see the studio series go if that's the case, although I don't know if that's set in stone yet. Sound quality is obviously still a big question mark at this point though... |

I am using the Prestige series in my home theatre. 85F for fronts the 55C centre channel and the 25S for surrounds. Using an Anthem MXR 710 as amp. Very nice sounding system crisp and detailed and not bright or harsh. They do need burn in time to sound their best.
