I guess Magico sells more S's than Q's. Hence the priority to upgrade the line. The Q7 II must come first lest the flagship would be upstaged by the M Pro.

It seems to be driven by the new Constellation Centaur II. Very interesting. I have heard the Q3 driven by the original Centaur Stereo and the Inspiration at the dealer's. I was surprised that I preferred the Inspiration in that audition. The MarkII should be a different story, I suppose.

I asked a mate over in Munich to check out the Magicos S7 and Q7 mk2. Surprised when he said that the S7s weren't sounding that spesh at all. I wondered if it was just early show set-up but also noticed later that Mono and Stereo mentioned something similar on it's site saying the Q7 sounded ok but not so much the S7. Btw they mistakenly tagged them as M project.

From Highe End in Munich

Q7mk2 and Solution

S7 and Constellation

My impression is that Q7mk2 with Solution sounded best with a clear margin;-)

I listened to both in Munich and I would have expected more. Q7 was much better of the two, but a lot of rooms played music with much more heart. Q7 is little bit to sterile for my taste. To technical with lost heart.
Music needs brain and heart to my point of view.
All HiFi Parameters were there, but together they played without less soul then Kaiser, Marten, Kharma, SF, Verity Audio, Rockport, TAD and more did.

Just my ears... and taste.

Completely disagree. It seems as the more natural the speakers are, to some people the more “bland” they sound (No hart, etc). Once you get the Magico sound, most other speakers sound colored and disjointed. But it seems that people are drown to certain “stick-up” qualities that many speakers have, and disregard the overall balance performance.

I thought that the Q7 MK 2 were, by far, the most accomplished set up I have ever heard, and it had the best sound at the show by a long margin. I liked the S7 as well, but I am not so sure about the electronics. I also liked the Vivid room and the JBL Everest.
