Question Is there a Tuner that will do FM, HD Radio and Sirius-XM all in one ...

I'm starting to think I want to get a tuner and am clueless as to what I should be looking at. I want a nice one that will do everything with appropriate subscriptions. Do they exist? I see the Magnum Dynalab tuners but am not sure what to look for. Any other recommendations?

I have an old Carver TX-11 (not the a) that needs to be replaced.

Thanks!

Joe.......I have the McIntosh MR88 tuner. It tunes AM/FM/HD/XM. It uses digital sound processing and allows both anaolg output and digital output. I have mine connected from the MR88 optical digial output to my MCD1100 DAC's. In my opinion, the digital output outperforms the analog output. It is an excellent tuner. I think there is a MR88 on Audiogon right now. You don't see many for sale. They are very sweet tuners.

I too have a Mac MR-88 tuner and it is by a wide margin the best sounding, most versatile tuner I have ever owned. A good signal broadcast in HD is comparable to the best of any format in my humble opinion!! And Mac beautiful to boot! You must audition one. Happy listening!

MSSHI has one for sale $3,200

Of course he is infamous around these parts.....

I've really thought hard about a MR88 digital into my ARC DAC8, for now I'm stuck with the computer route.

Good Luck

Thanks Guys!

I would never buy from them. Nothing but authorized dealers and fellow AA'ers for me.
