Default Living Voice OBX-RW

Anyone have any familiarity or experience with these speakers? I will be auditioning them in the very near future, but I would also like feedback on your experiences with them and how they marry up to McIntosh equipment. The 6-Moons review raves about them...but I would like a more balanced perspective...

These are considered "high efficiency" speakers. Over here, there use to be a strong following in ownership and most of them partners them using lower power amplifiers like "Lavardin", SET tubes, etc, .....

Personally, I find their build gorgeous, have to die for midrange, especially the vocals but in overall presentation, they do lack the impact and speed I am used to in the Wilsons 6 & 7's and thats probably why I did not got hook on them.

They have variations in pricing and according to your spec model, its in the top range of things.

Alternatives would be the Harbeth Super HL5 or the higher Monitor 40.1.

Happy hunting.

Cheers!
