per my observation, the class a integrated amps are not as full sounding as the class a/b integrateds of the accuphase.

however the class a amps offers more refinement, tighter bass, flesh out midrange, superb macro and micro dynamics. For me this is fine because i compensate this slight leaness thru the use of fuller sounding cables as mentioned above.

hope that helps.

I prefer a non shielded power cord with my E-600, really like the Jena Labs 916.

Don't know what you exactly mean with full sounding, I have had a E-460 in my system, differences are for me in refinement in highs and mids and a larger soundstage in favour of the E-600 (talking nuances here) The E-460 can go louder than the E-600.

My Modwright OPPO with NOS tubes shouldn't sound lean. I will try putting my good power cord to the E600 instead of the power stripe. Hope this helps. Will "wrong" phase on the XLR cause leaness?

I swapped out the stock cord on the E600 with the Crystal Cable Absolute Dream that was on the power strip.

Holy what a difference. Same power cords in different locations. No more leanness. Just sweet music.

Now I can hear different phase without too much effort. With correct phase, imaging is more 3D. Wrong phase, sound stage is more 2D.

Cables make a huge difference. Sometimes more than gears themselves.

You can swap the phase on your E-600, so just adjust it to what is required.
Crystal Absolute Dream is a fabulous cable.

Just out of interest, what is the phase (warm side) on your E-600, for me I have the least leaking voltage with the warm pole at the right side (looking to the back of E-600)

Yes it is. It's not cheap either.

yes E-600 + Crystal absolute dream will also buy you A70 + C2120.

But I can imagine that cable will work on a E-600.

Would love to see some pics of that set up :-)

Precisely.

That's one great cord btw. Was going to suggest same - top Siltech/Crystal (love their organic infusion to things/timbre rendition), but then not sure your preference.
Glad to know you found yourself a nice fit.

*Ime, to power strip/distributor/conditioner just use any good higher gauge cords w/excellent current delivery. Had success with PSAudio AC12 / Furutech PowerFlux - Assign your best to Integrated/Source.

Does Siltech and Accuphase go good together?
