Right now I am not. The Sasha reach down to 20Hz solid in my room and give me more than ample bass without bloat or overhang which is pretty amazing for a rather large speaker for my room. I will probably use the Fathoms again in my next, much larger room if need be.

I should be able to get some more music through them this week as I have been away until this evening.

Congratulations Serge, those Sasha's are beauties, bet they sound unreal. So, you did a little MR back in the day. Must be something about Radiology that attracts us audiophiles!!!

After living with the Wilson Sasha W/P over the last 10 days and getting through the required break-in, several characteristics of this speaker emerge suggesting that Wilson has purged a number of the sins found in the older WP 7/8. The speaker sounded very good at around 12 hours of play, but really opened up at 30 hours.
The upper midrange brightness and ocassional midrange congestion of the WP 7/8 has been eliminated in the Sasha W/P. Previous recordings that I thought were bright are now beautifully reproduced without the previous hardness and listening fatigue. The overripe mid bass of the WP7/8 has been tamed. There is a greater sense of cohesiveness from top to bottom without the previous discontinuity of the bass. The qualities I most prized in the WP/7/8 were its excellent dynamics and soundstage size. These have been retained in the Sasha W/P with now an even larger soundstage. The midrange/high reproduction of the Sasha is far more relaxed and detailed than the previous W/P. Spatial characteristics of the recording venue are exposed that were previously hidden in the older W/P models. The Sasha W/P now sounds more like a small Maxx3 than the previous Watt/Puppy series. Equipment used: Levinson 32 preamp, Levinson 33H amps. Synergistic Research cables, Wavelength Silver Crimson USB DAC, Basis Debut V Vacuum with Graham Phantom, Koetsu Jade Platinum. |

Thanks PHC1. The Maxx3s are amazing, but for my room, the Sasha is excellent. I am also using a Watchdog II sub that increases the size of the soundstage and a little bass at the bottom octave. Wilson has winners with the Sasha and Maxx3.

I have 2 JL Audio Fathom F112s to deploy in case I need them in the future. Which color did you get the Sasha's in? I have a pair in Topaz.
