Same here. By upgrading you have a reference point to judge the new cord. So far the cables replaced by the upgrades have moved into the HT/surround system.

i agree, the garden path is pleasant to follow.
also, can use the hand-me-downs in a 2nd system to great effect.
just was considering the list of 'associated components'.
they are indeed, pretty much up there already...

Placing the Sigma HC on my amp and switching the Anaconda cx formerly there to my preamp was the most significant increase in quality of my system in years. I have since ordered Sigmas for my Triton and digital.

The good news for those upgrading is the rock solid re-sale value of Shunyata power cords. Even their older cords still bring about half of their list price on the secondary market. That speaks to their high quality and wide application.

Hello all, I'm new to AA and want to thank you all for being civil on this site. This is the first site that I feel comfortable joining. Discussions on many other sites often devolve into non-productive nonsense.

Nevertheless, I just started down the path of addressing my power delivery system. My first step so far has been to replace my Nordost Vishnus with Shunyata Alpha series HC and digital power cord loom. Just plugged then in today and looking to assess after burn-in.

Martin

Welcome Martin! The Alpha is a very good line at a reasonable price. Enjoy!

That looks to be the way I will go, Vishnus to Shunyata Alphas. Need to trial them first though, just in case they don't work for me.
