Review of ARC's PH6 phono pre from Hifi World...

Most of what is written there could apply to the Ref 2 but not the lack of the extreme frequencies. I thought that I was almost done with my speaker positionning and the Ref 2 bass is so huge that I have to work on that again !
Sometimes it makes me feel that my speakers could be too big for my room. One of the statement that I liked a lot is " it's never less than enjoyable and engaging. It sort of keeps you on your toes. There's no sense of you being able to use the PH6 for background music". Exactly what I feel with the Ref 2.
