I'd love to see pics of your system with the ARC DSi200 and DAC7

Ask and ye shall receive. Not quite as clean as the other setup. But then my two kids use this one quite a bit. As do I for that matter......

AeroSmith....very nice pics and set-ups

I need to check out some ARC (DS450 or the DSi200) ....That DS450 might be a little too much power for my babies

Too bad they don't make a SS pre any more

LOL, thanks.

I'm very happy with the DSi200. It's really a nice power match to the two ProAc D2s (rated to only 150W BTW). Apart from the soundstage, dynamics, and sheer grunt it's just a joy to use. I think the two amplifiers are very close when it comes to sonics.

I too wish they had a SS pre-amp. As much as I like my Ayre K-1xe... As soon as I hear about one I'll put my order in. But I hear a DS pre-amp isn't coming until next year. Conjecture is that this year will bring a DAC8 and a PH6. Both should have the DS aesthetics. But who knows?

I do know that the next addition to my main system is going to be a Rega P9 and a PH5 or PH6

AeroSmith...thx for the pics. Very nice set up with the Dsi200. Is your understanding that the PH6 will be a SS design? If still tube, I wonder what will be different from the PH7? Maybe it will have trickle down design from the Phono Ref 2. Also on the DAC8, do you know what will be different from your DAC7? Thx very much.

My understanding is that it will be tubes for the PH6.

Can't really comment on the DAC8. I'm looking forward to listening to one when and if it comes out. I'm sure further jitter reduction might be an area for some research. And my DAC7s are very light. I bet they could put bigger power supplies in there if they wanted/needed too. Don't get me wrong, the DAC7 sounds more natural than just about any other DAC/Universal Player I have. But I'm sure they can do more to further clean up the mediocre bit-streams to be anticipated from AirPorts, cable boxes and the like.

AeroSmith...thx for the link. I had been checking regularly on their site but had not seen it yet posted. I am definitely auditioning the DS450 as soon as it hits my dealer's store (after they break it in ofcourse).

Did you notice the PH6 and DAC8 as "coming soon?"
