(Title was meant to be new addition!)

I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a Shindo step up transformer built on a matched pair of vintage western electric 618b transformers. I understand there are only a couple in the US and no more are made since the 618s are so rare and now pricey. They were always considered the ultimate transformers from the early days.

I also understand from Matt that the A23 step up is equally awesome - but there is something nice to me about vintage. To buy one, you need to be lucky and locate one in Asia.

Now if my petites would arrive so I can hear it all together...
