Having lived with quite a few Bryston amps in 2ch/7.2ch applications as well as being extremely satisfied with a Moon transport and auditioning other Moon products on a few occasions , I have nothing but respect for both Canadian companies. Solid engineering, great performers and a great bang for the sonic buck. Although I own neither brands at the moment, if I was shopping around for components in their respective price brackets, both brands would be at the top of my list.

If I ever were to leave team McIntosh, it would be for Simaudio MOON. Love their gear.

I went from a McIntosh 6600 with an HD tuner to a Simaudio Moon 700i integrated amp. I am very glad I did.

Hi, very interesting position, as I am also in the selection process of most likely an integrated amp. The McIntosh 7200 is also "on my list", beside a Moon amp (340i or 350P+330A), Pass and Bryston. What did you prefer on the 700i compared to the Mc´s? How would you describe the sonical signature of both experienced amps ?
Thank you very much !!!

Hi Godwinaj,
I am also planning to pull the trigger for Moon Neo350P pre-amp+ 330A, having
the same speakers Focal Aria 936. What do you think of this combo (espec. the Neo 350P), still worth buying or would you rather go for the new Moon 390? Thanks for any kind of feedback and input!! cheers Felix

What makes Simaudio superior to McIntosh?

Never heard the 390. So I can't say. I don't miss the Rotel gear at all. But I have an older SIM P3. I sometimes miss that vs the 350P. The 350P is so accurate but so chill in it's sound. I miss the sharp edge of the FETs in the P3. I'm still happy with the 350P/330A combo. Occasionally, and this is rare, I want more power. I live in this world of growing up around touring sound with thousands of watts and the realistic limits of a 10' x 12' room.

Best advice I can offer is if you love it DO NOT GO TO THE HI-FI STORE after buying it. LOL

Hi, thank you so much for your answer and advice!!!

Did you also compare to the integrated one, 340i?
If so, what are rhe differences soundwise? Do you miss anything in the sonic signature of the 350P+330A?

Heard that some people are complaining that the 350p
is somehow "thin" and "lean" sounding. Did you also recognize that?
Is the volume adjustment sensitive enough , also with remote control, due to the fact that the 350P has an analogous Poti (of Alps) and given the good efficiency of the Arias (92 dB/W/m)???
Last point: Canada Hifi says in its issue of feb/mar 2015 "that at low volume levels, up to a quarter or less, the soundstage condenses dramatically and dynamics are lacking" Would you agree on that???

Thank you very much for your eypertise!!
Greetings
