Question What's your favorite Asynchronous USB to SPDIF interface ? ...

Or what should I be looking at for best sound from a computer. I have/use both Macintosh and PC computers and wonder which one(s) you guy like and recommend. I'm not looking for a DAC, just the interface/adapter.

Thanks!

The one and only I have experience with is the V-Link. It does make a difference when compared to optical on my Mac Mini n

I'd like to see how these compare, the Audiophilleo1 with the WaveLink HS 24/192 USB to SPDIF converter. Both look they would do a nice job.

I'm keen to hear people's experiences on this too. I have a v link. I've heard the empirical audio off ramp is very good - to throw one more into the mix.

Did you compare the halide bridge to any other converter? I've not compared my v link to another asynchronous one, just the standard USB connection on my Rega dac

Audiophilleo 2 or JKeny Modded Hiface.

They turn any computer into a superb source and really level the playing filed among dacs.

I have the Audiophilleo. Highly recommended and it's only $500. Plus you don't need a digital cable.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found a very good forum thread comparing the v link and ap2. One person was even using them with the Rega dac. Mmmm interested in trying the ap2.
