Assuming that is a G-02X, it will give you a nice jump in refinement in soundstage, imaging, tonal correctness, etc... particularly running either pure 10 mHz master clock output if you are able or 176.4 kHz word clock (10 is vastly preferred). I stopped using atomic clocks a long time ago,...high quality OCXO in a properly executed chassis is where it's at for lowest phase noise and jitter IMHO for best musical result. Atomics have better stability specs but that is only part of the story.

What clock cable will you run? Hands-down recommendation is a Shunyata SIGMA CLOCK50...to match the pure 50ohm 10 mHz output bank on the clock and proper impedance of the K1 clock input.

FWIW, YMMV

Congratulations....ENJOY!!!

My bet is on a Grandioso K1x this year or next year.
And I would be tempted to consider one given how much people like the K1.

You are selling it while I am still excited by it on the first day.
Should I try something else too ? Like CH D1.

I can afford those one day. But I cannot afford all the
cables required and and expensive racks for 5 piece.

I am on a consideration. Not buying yet.
I just got my Luxman D08u less than a month ago. I really liked it. I am selling
Ayon CD35 Signature which is also very musical sounding.
Esoteric K1 is vastly different from Luxman D08u or Ayon. I don't call it as " better", but an interesting alternative way to present musics. I will not sell
Luxman, But I am thinking about also keeping K1 too. Clock is a later date option. Anyway the cable may be this Japanese cable
http://www.saec-com.co.jp/product/dig-t50/ , it is cheaper for me. pls use Chrome to translate.

K1 made all recordings sounded like closed-mike ones. all minute details
emerged very loudly and clearly. sound of musician breathing, moving and changing note page all came out so loudly and clear, beyond realistic. It also
sound like live, amplified performance, exciting sound.

D08u is also highly detailed, but more laid back, relaxed and more mellow,
more suitable for long hours listening. the tiny details form D08u is heard too
as much as from K1 but at a much lower in level (more realistic ?)

Also I read that P1X and D1X is MQA capable and can play MQA-CD too.
with D1X confirmed MQA status when P1X play MQA-CD. Soon that will
trickled down to many Esoteric players. I think I should wait, unless dealer
offer me a good trade-in program in case K1X come too early after I get K1.

Great points TOGA and great feedback on the various player experiences,...the Ayon CD-35 amd CD-35HF are wonderful players...a friend south of here has the signature version and it is quite amazing.

The K1 as a single box player stands part from the crowd and plays at another level altogether (IMO).

I will check out that cable...thanks!
