Jim, I concluded you were a "hardcore" wilson guy based on the not-so-casual investment you have made in their products. Sorry if I got that wrong.

I suppose I kind of got us off the original intent of the thread. Sorry about that too, everyone.

Style...(what a cool name!) you should be asking yourself if you want to elevate your main system or have a secondary system. If I read it right, you are pining for Sasha's but also want to buy duets, and I think it makes more sense to build up a single system if money is an issue.

The point "money" I think it's important for everyone (or almost!)

I use a Pass combo Xp20 with X250.5 with the B&W802di.

Have 2 good systems or "only" 1 system considered "Top"?
1 tube system and a solid state can 'give more' satisfaction of a single "point" or better "system on the Top" but not with a 360 degree view...

of course is a personal choice.

I like Wilson like I ike B&W....speakers are ok with Rock'nroll and jazz...a great speakers like the S.Faber Aida and a indie rock track uhmmm.....
--> back a one top system or 2 good system?

I like to change often ..... so maybe it's better to have more than one solution at hand.

Changing from the B&W802di to Sasha is sure a "good" sound improvement: sell the B&W and invest "all" in a new Big speaker (like from Still-One write ..In my mind it takes either a large speaker such as the X2's, Aida's, Sound Lab etc to reproduce the sound of a large orchestra or a live event.... -> well for me a Sasha or a Magico S5 IS a large speaker) a single system with a monitor speaker is not my target... (we are not all the same person/mind...my friend have a Raidho D1 - monitor speaker not entry level in europa priced ar. Euro. 32000 - and he dont can have a large speaker like a Sasha or 802...is not into your idea of a high end system..)

I can immagine a Sophia3 or Sasha / S5 / Utopia Scala in place of the 802di (and I'm a lover of B&W i had almost the fully serie 8)
SonusFaber is a great speaker but not for all music genres! and alot of other great speakers (and ampli too....) are present in the market....
