Default It takes a good day for my CJ Premier 350 to .....

Really sounds its best. Is it me, or does anyone else think it takes that long? It seem to get more relaxed, a little smoother and opens up a bit more.

I thought about that but hate to leave it on unattended.

It's not at all uncommon for SS components to need a good 24 hrs to fully warm up and sound their best. My EAR324P phono stage is the same way.

I would follow Cyril's recommendation to leave it on 24/7. That's what I would do if I owned one...

Joe...if it were a power amp with a tubed output stage where the tubes could arc and potentially cause a problem, I would be in complete agreement, not to mention you would eat through tubes like crazy. But with SS, there is a miniscule risk of the amp combusting and causing a fire. Just my 2c. If you are not comfortable however with leaving it on, I can understand that. You just have to live with the rather longish warm up period.

Joe,

I leave my ARC SS amp and DAC on most it the time. Only when I travel or if I know listening will not be done for a few days, I will shut them off.

My ears may not be as evolved...My Pr350 sounds pretty darn good right after turning on...I don't notice a lot of difference in warm up, unlike my VAC tube amp which does require a good hour or so to hit its stride.

Cyril, Mike, Darrin,

Thanks!

My 350 sounds really good after and hour or two but spectacular after a day of cooking. I normally leave SS gear on all the time, but for some reason I don't feel comfortable doing so in this case. I think subconsciously I am just a little nervous something will take out my CR-1's and that would kill me to have them zapped. It could happen whether I am home or not, but feel somehow more in control if I am home. I guess I am just worried about my TADs, probably for no reason.
