I built my own cable lifts. I doubt there is any sonic improvement but I wanted the cables off the floor as it made it easier to dust under them. These are about 5 inches off the floor and made of scrap butcher block from my rack shelving.

BTW, its not just static e-fields from raising cables off the floor that impart noise as referenced above, it's also vibration from the floor itself that imparts noise to the speaker (or power) cable*.

At first, I wasn't sure if the Möbius would be an improvement over the DF-SS, but they definitely are, as they not only prevent noise from being imparted by static e-fields that arise from lifting cables off the floor as well as noise being imparted from vibration from the floor*, but the Möbius also mitigate vibration being carried along the body of the cable itself.

*– Here's why: the floor itself can and does impart noise from vibration into speaker and power cables. This is why they need to be off the floor with quality cable elevators. Oh, and it is inaccurate to think that placing audio gear, including SP cables on a concrete slab floor prevents the transmission of vibration into cables and gear; it most certainly does not. Um...yeah. Concrete actually RINGS LIKE A BELL at a specific frequency. This is because the denser the material, the faster the speed of sound it transmits; this is basic physics.

So, floors, even concrete slab floors, can and do, impart noise & vibration, including to cables.
