OEM or Equivalent

Hey guys and gals. It's that time again.

I need to replace the bulb in my Panasonic projector and I'm debating between the OEM replacement or one of the many equivalent offerings out there on the net.

I've read all kinds of reviews and I'm just as uncertain as when I started. I don't mind spending the money for the OEM bulb/housing but if I can get the same quality for less I'm all for it.

My question is " What is your experience and what do you suggest?"

I'm not sure if it makes a difference but my projector is the Panasonic PT-AE3000U.
