Boulder 1108 vs 508
Anyone have knowledge of or experience with Boulder phonostages? I’m considering an offer to upgrade my 508 to the 1108, but not sure if I’d actually be getting better sound, or just more features. The 508 has one input and output and fixed 100 ohms, whereas the 1108 has two inputs and outputs, configurable settings, and various equalization curves, none of which I really need or will use except maybe the configurable settings. Is there a significant sound improvement in the 1108?

I have not listened to the either of Boulders but when I owned the EAR/Yoshino 324 phonostage with a multitude of available adjustments, it came in quite handy as various tables and cartridges started rotating through my system at that time. It never hurts to have adjustability for future needs.
