Thanks, Bill, Dan, and Tim. I've wanted that phono stage since I got the SME.

I just got a set of W/P 8's. The whole unpacking procedure is kind of like a ritual that every new Wilson owner should be involved in.

Is there a reason your dealer didn't come and go through the Wilson setup protocol? To my knowledge Wilson's are very, very particular about placement. Get it wrong, they sound OK, get it right, the difference is dramatic in soundstage width & depth, coherence, bass response, etc.

Bob, if you're talking to me, yes, there is a reason. I told him that I didn't want him to do the setup. Not because I mistrusted, or anything, but I wanted to play with everything, myself. I reserved the right to have him come out at some point, if I ask, and he was agreeable to that. Also, I knew that we'd be redecorating the room (which has yet to occur) and those changes may impact acoustics...so, net, net, I simply wanted to learn about the interactions of speaker and room from experience.

That's a beautiful room Robert! I love the color of the Sophias. Have you done anything else with the room lately? (besides the ARC gear!) I'm interested mainly in how it sounds with the vaulted ceiling. Do the Sophias fill the room sufficiently without it being too much of an echo chamber? Perhaps it helps dissipate reflections better with all the angles going on. The house that I will eventually be moving into has a great room with a vaulted ceiling and I'm curious as to how it affects the sound.
