MC452 and Jeff Rowland Capri

Has anyone heard the pairing of a MC452 and a Jeff Rowland Capri (original)? I have an grea opportunity to pick up a used Capri S. I need a medium term preamp to pair with the MC452 until I have more space and bigger budget.

The other option I was eyeing was the Audio Research LS17SE, though comes it at a higher cost.

The biggest challenge for me is finding something with HT Bypass. I gave up on getting a XLR connection for the bypass in the sub-$2K category.
