Stirling Trayle is absolutely fascinating to read about! He has some incredibly outstanding reviews!
Yeah, he gave a talk at SF Audio Sociey meeting in April, and it was excellent. He lives up in the North Bay (Novato or Petaluma?).

And, he can set up your speakers while he's at it.

I read that he even goes further than that. Apparently, he goes over your entire system with a fine tooth comb leaving no stone unturned. He won't give up until your system sounds as good as it can get. My understanding is he does it for a flat fee so it isn't like he is just milking the clock either. A man with passion and integrity.

His rate is $2000/day. Most full system setups require 2 days. Many customers attest its the single best thing they’ve done for their system.

Stirling will take apart and open up your system, literally going through everything from fuses, to tightening of screws. Cables management, room acoustics, speaker placement.

He is not cheap, but his experience is worth his wait in gold if you don’t live, breath and die audio, and still I’m sure we all can still learn.

That’s not a bad price. Could be a bargain actually.

That's what many of his customers say.

Thanks for all the replies.
I never heard back from the Audiophile society but I think I figured it out today.
It is quite a bit of work but the VPI video helped. Now my issue is static....

Ed, did he come to your place? The way you are writing, it sounds like you have experience with him.

No, but I have had several discussions on the phone and email - he has been a help to me.
