Default Travel question - Sarajevo

Hi All,

I am planning a vacation to Varna and Sofia on the way home in June, and have now decided to start the trip in Sarajevo. I have about two weeks to do it all, and am wondering if anyone has been to Sarajevo lately, and if so, can you reccomend a good hotel? I haven't been since I was a kid in the late 70's, so I know nothing about the city as it is now.

Thanks!

Bob

No I haven't but if you go let us know what you find. We are looking at going to Croatia and Montenegro next spring. So we would be in the area.

I will let you know. I spent lots of time there as a teenager, but I have no idea what to expect since the war and partitioning of territories. I think it has recovered well and should be lovely.

I was there in 1984 (winter Olympics) and enjoyed it immensely. I'm told the Old town survived the turmoil well and is still there. (thank goodness as it is a fascinating place) I can't remember much else.. I was stuck in the broadcast center for a few weeks leading up to the games. I do remember Slivovitz!!
