Okay.... this now has me thinking. I think I'd need to be level set on what I'm trying to achieve. My feeble understands the following...
I have a pair of full range speakers that consist of tweeter, mid range, and bass. I buy (2) subs for the system. I thought the use of a crossover was to remove the bass work from the main speaker, and apply that work to the subs. Hence the full range speaker has to do only 2 out 3 task, thus being more efficient. By bypassing the MEN220 low output section all together defeats my original thought? Once again the feeble mind at work again.... Now I have four task... tweeter, mid range, bass, and lower bass. Which would explain I could hear a difference and really couldn't judge why blended, "X", and "Y", would better over any other???? This keeps driving me back to my source material some music has the "BOOM" in it others don't. Should one be forcing music source to do more than originally intended?? Because this has feeling of doing tonal control versus letting the music source dictate. I'm soooooooooooooooo confused! Ken
