You'd think for $10k they'd throw in a cover for the MT10. Would be a minimal expense for them buying them in quantity and IMO a necessity.

I am the one who provided John all the measurements and the line art plus 3D design so he can make this happen, he did not have the mt10 and so he made the cover off of my drawing.

It's something that I dislike about both McIntosh and VPI in this case--no included covers! I live in northern California where we love to keep the windows open as much as possible. Combine that with two cats and there's a lot of dust in my house no matter how hard we work to keep it down.

I bought a great cover for my VPI table; but, it annoyed me a bit to have to do so.

I, too, was lucky enough to find John at J Display. He built a cover for my Clearaudio Performance DC. The cost was about one half of what most audio manufacturers charge and the quality is way better. Just fabulous.

With MT5, It's still very hard to keep away dust even with the cover on because each corners of the cover has small hole. Also dust can enter from the side of the cover where you put your hands in when lifting the cover out of the turn table.

So, I cover it with silk cloth when not using it.

802s all set up and table finally here as well. Have the 5200 pulling the load until I can get an industrial crane here to lift that MC452 in place. Love the MT10.
