Zero hours on the clock

Hooked up my Reference 3 Phono to the Reference 6 and dropped the needle (after an inordinately long wait on the Ref3 to come online vs the Ref 6)

And surprise.

Bliss

This was how my Ref5SE was too

First impressions are good. I usually get a narrower soundstage when I use my Sumiko Pearwood Celebration II vs the Kiseki Purple Heart NS. But the Sumiko soundstage is how far wider. And the punch of that bass.

Sorry for my ignorance, what are you referring to here that will provide a big improvement? I am new to ARC and recently bought a Ref 5SE. Thank you in advance..

Synergistic research fuses. I'm not really a believer personally, but I haven't tried it either. Seems hard to believe.

After the first hour, I cheated. I’ve been using the Ref6 in PROC mode [emoji51]

After about 10 hours, I’m putting in Simply Vinyl Hell Freezes Over and still pretty beautiful sounding. Maybe the Ref 3Phono helps.

Well I have a Ref 6 at home on trial. Very unlikely that it will be returned

It’s a wonderful sounding preamp. Although mine sounded pretty good out of the box, it did improve over time like a fine wine. Enjoy.
